What is flu?

The flu is a respiratory illness caused by a variety of influenza viruses. Symptoms include fever, headache, muscle aches, cough, loss of appetite and extreme exhaustion.

Influenza is contagious and can be spread through coughing, sneezing and touching infected surfaces.
