The Porcupine Health Unit Influenza Pandemic Plan (PHUIPP)

On Monday, June 5th, the Porcupine Health Unit released version 1.0 of its Influenza Pandemic Plan (PHUIPP).

A job as large as putting together such a comprehensive plan cannot be done by one person. A steering committee headed by the Porcupine Health Unit and with representatives of critical stake holders — including municipalities, law enforcement agencies, Canadian Red Cross, and other essential disciplines — will be responsible for “steering” the different disciplines participating in the drafting of an influenza pandemic plan for the Cochrane District.

The Porcupine Health Unit Influenza Pandemic Plan (PHUIPP) is based on the Ontario Health Pandemic Influenza Plan.
