Sexually Transmitted Infections
There are numerous sexually transmitted infections that can be acquired through direct and indirect sexual contact. Some can be acquired through exposure to contaminated blood and body secretions, intravenous drug use, tattoos and body piercing with non-sterile/unclean needles and at the time of birth (mother to baby contact during pregnancy and/or delivery).
