Health Hazard Prevention and Management
The Porcupine Health Unit plays a major role in preventing or reducing the negative health effects resulting from exposure to health hazards. Health hazards refer to any physical, chemical, and biological factors existent within the home, neighborhood and/or workplace and that has or that is likely to have an adverse effect on the health of any person. Communication of the risk and action taken in the event of a hazard protects community health.
