Beauty Treatments and Body Arts
Personal Services Settings are facilities or individuals who offer personal beauty treatment or body art services.
The Porcupine Health Unit inspects all settings where there is a risk of exposure to blood and/or body fluids to clients receiving personal services. Personal services settings may include the following:
- Hairdressing and barbering
- Tattooing and micro pigmentation
- Body piercing and ear piercing
- Acupuncture (non-regulated)
- Manicure and pedicure services
- Waxing, threading, electrolysis and laser hair removal
- Facial treatments and make-up application
- Any other aesthetic service offered to the public
