Intervention Services
The treatment services are offered to the same population as under Client Services. As the service operates on a family-centred approach, the intervention approach selected for a individual client is guided by a hierarchy of intervention programs.
- Parent training and/or group therapy is/are provided to parents according to the child's need. "It Takes Two To Talk" - the Hanen Program ® for parents, phonology and/or language groups are offered as a primary form of intervention. These programs are offered on a needs basis (2-3 times per year).
- Home programs and consultations are provided to parents, day care staff or school teachers as required. Consultation is provided on a regular basis (at lease once every 3 months).
- Individual sessions are provided for clients with speech and language deficits who may require further intervention.
