The Proof is in their Picture
Lecturing students about smoking and sun exposure effects will no longer fall on deaf ears, the effects will now be in their face – literally and figuratively. The Porcupine Health Unit’s latest health promotion tool, APRIL age progression software, provide students with an opportunity to see what they will look like in 20, 40, and 60 years from now with or without smoking or sun exposure. The nurse will take a picture of the student and the software program will reveal an age–progressed image. Pictures will be used strictly for educational purposes and not used for promotion. This will certainly pique the interest of students and staff alike.
