You can expect to see four local mothers breastfeeding around the clock this July. The Porcupine Health Unit launched their “Breastfeeding in Public” campaign July 12, 2017, at the Urban Park.
The Porcupine Health Unit is pleased to offer a breastfeeding peer-support group in some of our communities in partnership with other organizations. A laid back environment for you and baby to visit and talk with other nursing moms. Whether you want to inquire about breastfeeding challenges or share your breastfeeding experience, our Breastfeeding Peer Support Group welcomes you and your family.
Are you expecting a baby and would like more information on breastfeeding? Are you currently breastfeeding and would like to have your breastfeeding assessed by a nurse specially trained in breastfeeding support? Call us today! Let's talk about your breastfeeding experience.
Because breastfeeding is normal, local businesses want to show their support. Many businesses display the International Breastfeeding Friendly Place Logo. Businesses will receive many resources for becoming designated as Breastfeeding Friendly.
