The Porcupine Health Unit will host a workshop about the Canadian Falls Prevention Curriculum (CFPC) on June 6 and 7, 2017 from 8:30 A.M. until 4:30 PM. The CFPC is a two day workshop that will give participants the knowledge and skills needed to develop seniors falls and fall-related injury prevention, including:
an approach to select interventions consistent with proven prevention strategies;
an understanding of how to integrate falls prevention programming into existing seniors’ health services policies and protocols; and
knowledge of appropriate evaluation and dissemination techniques.
