The Porcupine Health Unit is advising the public of a potential high risk public exposure to COVID-19 related to the following travel:

  • Monday, January 3 – Air Creebec, from Timmins to Peawanuck, departing from Timmins at 9:15 a.m.

Individuals on these flights are advised to self-isolate for a minimum 5 to 10 days as per their local public health guidance. It is also recommended that they make arrangements for testing.

The PHU is reminding everyone to follow all public health measures to prevent the spread of COVID-19. The safest options are to limit close contact to your own household members, stay home and do not attend work or school when ill, avoid non-essential travel, and remember to practise physical distancing, wear your mask, wash your hands and get vaccinated. Before leaving your home, continue to screen yourself for symptoms and practise COVID-safe behaviours.
