The provincial government has released a COVID-19 Framework: Keeping Ontario Safe and Open. Ontario’s priorities remain to limit the transmission of COVID-19 and avoid closures. The Framework will serve as an early warning system allowing us to scale up and scale back public health restrictions on a regional or community basis, in response to surges and waves of COVID-19 while keeping schools and businesses open, maintaining health system capacity and protecting vulnerable people, including those in long-term care. It categorizes public health unit regions into five levels: Green-Prevent, Yellow-Protect, Orange-Restrict, Red-Control, and Lockdown being a measure of last resort. Each level outlines the types of public health and workplace safety measures for businesses and organizations. These include targeted measures for specific sectors, institutions, and other settings. Find more details on the government of Ontario's website.
Below, find the public health measures for the current level: Green-Prevent for your specific sector, and make note that your business may be required to follow the guidance from multiple sectors. Review the COVID-19 Response Framework and the Reopening Ontario (A Flexible Response to COVID-19) Act, 2020 and the Ontario Regulation 364/20.
