Thirty eight New Confirmed Cases of COVID-19 In the Porcupine Health Unit Area

The Porcupine Health Unit (PHU) is reporting thirty eight new COVID-19 cases among residents in the health unit area.Ten cases are in Timmins, twenty five are in the James and Hudson Bay region, two in the Cochrane, Matheson, Iroquois Falls & Smooth Rock Falls region and one in the Kapuskasing, Opasatika, Val Rita-Harty, Moonbeam & Fauquier-Strickland region. Twenty four cases are contacts of a case and fourteen cases are under investigation.

Stay home and self-isolate if:

  • You are confirmed case
  • You think or you are a contact of a confirmed case
  • You have symptoms – get tested
  • You are waiting for your test results
  • Someone in your household has symptoms

If you think you may have COVID-19 symptoms or have been in close contact with someone who has it, first self-isolate and complete the on-line COVID-19 Self-Assessment to determine your next steps.
