Self-Testing Clinic

Self-Testing Clinics now available every Wednesday in Timmins!

If you are concerned about Chlamydia or gonorrhea and/or looking for routine testing, you can self-book an appointment online.  This clinic is only for those without symptoms. At this clinic, you will not need to speak to a health care provider. Instead, self-collected urine and swab kits will be available for you to collect your own specimen based on the type of sex you are having.

Don’t worry, we will have step-by-step instructions to help you collect a specimen safely.

You can have Chlamydia or gonorrhea without even knowing. These infections can be transmitted when having oral, vaginal, and/or anal sex.

For more information about these infections, visit sexandu.ca or sexualhealthontario.ca.

Note:
You will notice a new look when arranging your appointment/registrations online. This change is the result of the health unit’s move to a new booking system called Front Desk.

There can be issues when implementing a new system. If you have any issues booking online, please contact the health unit at 1-800-461-1181 for help.
