Food safety training

Safe food handling is an important part of the program to ensure safety for both the person handling the knife and for the health of the students. Appointed food preparers should complete a Food Safety Training Certification Course. The cost can be covered by the NFVP for one person from each school to complete. See our Food Safety Training page to register for the course or to get further information.

If you’re looking to be certified in food handling but cannot attend the in-person training, a personal study option with an online test can be arranged. The course can be accessed online at http://www.ingoodhands.ca. Contact Cora Behan at [email protected] or 1-800-461-1818 (toll free) to get your login information. Costs of the course and certification exam will be eligible expenses covered by the program.
